@davidgoggins is starting on Pacific Time Zone; we are starting on Eastern Time Zone.

Where: Anywhere. You don’t need a gym to run, walk, ride a bike or practice yoga. I will be running every 4 mile segment outside in Grosse Pointe and you are welcome to join me for any/all of the runs. No matter the weather, we will be outside running. I will run 9-11min miles so I am not very fast. You can run with me. You CAN do it.

What: Run/Walk/Cycle 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

Example: start running four miles at 11pm and finish 1140pm. You now have 3 hours and 20 mins till you have to run, walk or cycle again. Hard start times with every 4 hours on the 4 hours.

We here at Lock Personal Training will have additional content posted every 4 hours. Our Yoga guide, Colleen and our Spin guide, Kim will be offering virtual classes as well. A great way to cool down after your run/walk/cycle is with some Yoga! Also, some virtual Spin classes for 4 miles throughout the weekend will offer a way to mix it up, if running isn’t your thing. We are so pumped to participate that we want to make this as inclusive for everyone as possible!

Who: Anybody! Do one round or all twelve. It is up to you to see how far you can go!

Why: I take no credit for this idea at all. David Goggins is the leader of this evolution and he’s big on mental toughness and your true potential. His book, Can’t Hurt Me, changed my life so I am excited to share that feeling with others.

“What is in us? We have no idea until we try hard.”

David Goggins

Charity: Donate – The Heat and Warmth Fund I will be running this for THAW, with the hopes of raising $420. That $420 will help 2 families pay their utility bills. It’s been a cold week here in the United States. In Texas, people are suffering and that is terrible. If you look close enough, there are people near you that have issues with providing a warm home for their families. We can do our part to help those in our own neighborhoods. You can donate directly to the website through the link I provided or wait for more details for on the group effort.

To prove my dedication to this run and our effort, I will be sleeping in a tent outside in Grosse Pointe for the duration of the race.
